My name is Laurie Kam and I am a senior in high school doing an independent project for my second semester. I plan on learning a whole lot about teaching and about learning. And hopefully, finding a way to bridge the gap between what teachers do and what students do. I came up with the idea to learn about this through my own experiences as a fairly seasoned student. I have often felt left dissatisfied after leaving the majority of my classes.
If the question was asked, "Why do you go to school?" I would answer, "to think", while others would answer, "to learn." I feel that the entire sequence of thinking has been taken out of our learning process. Now, how is this so? Check out the page My Spark to find out more!
